Jeremy Lalrinnunga won India’s second gold at the Commonwealth Games in the men’s 67kg category. The star lifted 300 kg and came first. This is Jeremy’s first Commonwealth gold. Samoa’s Nevo won silver.

Mirabai Chanu won the first gold in the women’s 49 kg weight class. The gold is a record at the Games. Meerabai started the competition with a lift of 84 kg in the snatch and in her second attempt lifted a Games record of 88 kg.
