As Netflix prepares for the October 22 release of Nobody Wants This Season 3, star Adam Brody has publicly declared his support for “a free Palestine” and characterized Israel’s military campaign in Gaza as a genocide during a wide-ranging profile with GQ.
The actor, who earned a 2025 Emmy nomination and won a Critics Choice Award for playing a rabbi in the Erin Foster-created romantic comedy, discussed his political activism and industry shifts in the interview published on September 26, 2026.
Brody addressed whether he believes Hollywood has grown more conservative in recent years, pointing to external pressures within the industry. he told GQ.

“It’s awful that it’s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it’s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago. I’m hopeful that another administration can really do some good and correct some of these policies that are helping that situation be as awful as it is,” he added.
Brody’s comments arrive amid broader political demonstrations involving entertainment figures. Approximately 100 people—including several Hollywood figures—were arrested outside the United Nations General Assembly in New York City while protesting the arrival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In Nobody Wants This, Brody stars opposite Kristen Bell, who plays agnostic podcaster Joanne Williams. The central narrative follows the unexpected romance between the rabbi and the podcaster as Joanne converts to Judaism and integrates into Noah’s community.
Series creator Erin Foster previously addressed the show’s approach to religious identity during an August 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Foster emphasized that the production aims to center positive narratives rather than wade into complex geopolitical conflicts. Foster said at the time.
