Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized after being returned to Rikers Island prison after his shocking rape conviction was overturned.
His lawyer said the former movie mogul was hospitalized for a series of tests after returning to New York.
Attorney Arthur said Weinstein was taken to a Manhattan hospital after being returned to jail on Friday, April 12.
“They checked him out and sent him to Bellevue Hospital. It looks like he needs a lot of help, physically”the lawyer said, reports the Daily Mail.
“He’s got a lot of problems. He’s getting all kinds of tests. He’s a bit of a train wreck health-wise.”
Let us remind you that he spent the last two years in prison in California, and now he has been returned to the New York prison system, AP reports.
The producer will be housed at the Mohawk Correctional Facility, prison officials said.
The convicted producer was returned to New York on April 5, and will stay in a medium-security facility, after reviewing the programs he needs.
