The claim that Hive is linked to a pseudo-religious group has spread widely, and sparks were also flying for ‘Weverse Mind’, an educational content company with a similar name to Hive’s subsidiary, ‘Weverse’.

On the 29th, Weaver Mind said, “This is our stance on the association with other religious companies and organizations that have been spreading in online communities recently,” and “We have absolutely no association with a company with a similar name and created as a subsidiary of a major entertainment company in 2019.”

The company said, “WeaversMIND is an educational content company founded in 2009 by CEO Jeong Seong-eun,” and added, “We are a company that aims to create content with the heart of an artisan weaver using the English word ‘Weavers,’ meaning people who weave.” “It was based on philosophy,” he said.

He continued, “‘Noesaggim’, which WeverseMind serves, is a content brand that was independently researched and developed by our executives and employees to make language learning effective and received a patent in 2013, ” Noesaggim and WeverseMind are affiliated with any business, religion or politics.” “It has nothing to do with any organization,” he stressed.

Suspicions were previously raised in social media and online communities that Hive was linked to meditation and gymnastics training groups. The group is also known to have pseudo-religious aspects.

Those who raised doubts claimed that ‘Noesaegim’ and ‘Weverse Mind’ were subsidiaries of the meditation group in question. This was because the organization emphasized brain training, and the name ‘Noesaggim’ is similar. At the same time, Hive’s subsidiary and fan community ‘Weverse’ was named after ‘Weverse Mind’. It was also claimed that this is why only New Genes, produced by Adore CEO Min Hee-jin, which has been clashing with Hive recently, uses another fan community called ‘Poning’.

Weaver Mind said, “We have recently decided that malicious posts that have been circulating on various online video sites and communities are seriously defaming the company, so we have appointed a law firm and are taking strict action in against them at the moment postings in real time and filing criminal charges.” “We are collecting it as evidence.” He continued, “We will take strong legal action without mercy against netizens who spread and create indiscriminate information that goes against the facts.”
