Alphonso Davies reveals his position on joining Real Madrid

Canadian star Alphonso Davies, left back for Bayern Munich, commented on his future with his club and the possibility of him moving to the Spanish ranks of Real Madrid.

Press reports had linked Alphonso Davies’ name to the possibility of leaving Bayern Munich, in light of Real Madrid’s admiration for the player’s abilities and the club’s desire to sign him after the end of the current season 2023-2024.

The famous and reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in the European player transfer market and works for the global network Sky Sports, published Alphonso Davies’ statements, saying: “At the moment, there are talks between my agent and Bayern Munich.”

He continued: “No matter what happens, I will always be very grateful to Bayern Munich.”

Press reports indicated that Real Madrid wants to sign a left-back, in order to succeed Fran Garcia, who did not perform as expected, in addition to Ferland Mendy’s many injuries.

The current contract of the 23-year-old Canadian left-back with Bayern Munich is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2025.

It is noteworthy that Alphonso Davies joined the ranks of Bayern Munich in 2019, coming from Canada, for 14 million euros.

Alphonso Davies is one of the main pillars of Bayern Munich, with his market value rising to 60 million euros.

Davies participated in 193 matches with Bayern Munich over the past five years, during which he scored 10 goals and provided 30 assists.
