Washington DC US President Joe Biden to visit Poland this week Biden’s crucial visit comes a month after Russia’s occupation of Ukraine. The US press secretary confirmed Biden’s visit to the media.

Biden will first arrive in Brussels and from there to Poland. In the current context, the visit to Poland is particularly important as it shares a border with Ukraine. Prior to his visit to Poland, Biden will also meet with EU leaders. Biden’s visit to Poland is crucial in the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The White House said Biden would hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholes, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Poland is a member of the NATO alliance. Biden’s visit is expected to discuss plans to bring aid to Ukraine via NATO. Russia, meanwhile, is watching Biden’s arrival in Poland closely. Russia will not be able to attack other countries if they use Poland as a base to help Ukraine. If Russia invades Poland because it is a NATO member, the NATO allies will strongly oppose it. Whether the current war situation will lead to further conflict will depend on the decisions made during Biden’s visit.
