Anseong Mayor Kim Bo-ra prepares emergency transport measures to reduce inconvenience to citizens due to city bus strike

The bus companies affiliated with the Gyeonggi-do Bus Union and operating in Anseong are 100 city buses on 79 routes by Baseong Transportation, and 64 direct seat buses operating in the Suwon, Seongnam, and Dongtan areas of under Daewon Express.


Baseong Transport, the only transport company in Anseong-si, has received billions of dollars in subsidies of 6.8 billion won in 2021 and 6.6 billion won this year for the deficit from Anseong, and accordingly, the two-shift work that n required by the Gyeonggi Bus Union has already been implemented. In this situation, he said, “As a member of the Gyeonggi Bus Union, if a strike is forced, it is a situation where we have no choice but to participate in the strike because we are included in the strike . an industrial union.”


To cope with the situation where Baseong Transport, the only bus company in the city, suspends bus operation due to participation in the strike, there are no alternative modes of transportation and no choice but to suffer great inconvenience. In addition to searching, they are taking quick steps, such as launching a signature campaign to attract metropolitan bus routes for citizens commuting to and from Seoul and students commuting to school.
