New Capabilities and Improvements

Anthropic announced the release of Claude Opus 4.5⁢ on november 24,2025,positioning it as the “best model in the world for coding,agents,and computer use.” The company states this new model represents a meaningful advancement in AI capabilities ‍and improves upon previous versions for everyday tasks, including in-depth research.

Early testers reported that Claude Opus 4.5 can successfully complete tasks that were ‍previously⁤ impractical for Sonnet 4.5.The model demonstrates improved ability to handle⁢ ambiguous requests and evaluate⁢ tradeoffs without requiring ⁢extensive guidance.

Specifically, Opus 4.5 offers enhancements in vision processing, reasoning skills, mathematical abilities, and coding performance compared to earlier Claude models.

Updates to Apps and Platforms

Alongside the Opus model ⁤update,‍ Anthropic is also updating its applications, the Claude Developer Platform, and Claude code. These updates ‍include tools designed for longer-running⁤ AI agents and expanded options for integrating Claude wiht popular software ‍like Excel, Chrome, and desktop applications.

Users of ‍the Claude apps will no longer encounter conversation length limits, as Claude can now automatically summarize previous ⁤context to maintain continuity. Claude for Chrome is now available to all Max users,⁣ while Claude for Excel beta access ⁣has been⁤ extended to Max, Team, and ‍Enterprise users.

Claude Code is now integrated into the desktop app, and with Opus 4.5, it can create more detailed plans and execute them more effectively. The model proactively asks clarifying questions and generates a user-editable plan before execution.

Availability and Usage Limits

Claude Opus⁣ 4.5 ‍is available starting November ⁤24, 2025, across Anthropic’s applications and via ⁤its API. ⁣ Usage ⁢caps specific⁤ to Opus have been removed for Claude and Claude Code users with access to Opus 4.5. Additionally, Max and Team Premium members will experience increased overall usage limits.
