In a recent interview with Sillymonks Mollywood, Antony Varghese Pepe shared his excitement about meeting Tamil actor Suriya for the first time. Pepe expressed his joy when Suriya spoke about the climax of the movie Angamaly Diaries, in which Pepe had acted.

Pepe replied, “They approach us for other films after seeing our work. I had the opportunity to meet Lokesh Kanaka Raj in Chennai, who had watched all my films until then. It was only after Suriya appreciated Puli that the film gained attention. Suriya was also present at an award function in Thiruvananthapuram. I have always had a great desire to meet and converse with Suriya. I remember feeling overwhelmed when I finally got the chance to talk to him.”
Pepe further elaborated, “At that time, Angamaly Diaries and Sambarada were released only in the middle of the night. When I mentioned Angamaly Diaries, Suriya immediately recalled the climax and praised it. I was fascinated by his interest in our film. It made me realize that he stays updated and watches our movies. It’s remarkable that they appreciate and approach us for collaborations. There aren’t many actors from our language who get opportunities to work in other film industries. It’s truly a joyous thing.”
Pepe’s Onam Release “RDX” Receives Positive Response
In the meantime, Pepe’s latest film “RDX” is currently being screened in theaters, and it is receiving an enthusiastic response from the audience. Despite not being heavily promoted, the movie is being hailed as a true mass entertainer.

‘They call us for other films after seeing all our films. I had met Lokesh Kanaka Raj in Chennai. I had seen all my films until then. It was only after Puli talked about it that the film was called. Not just demand. Suriya was there when he went to an award function in Thiruvananthapuram. As for me, I have a terrible desire to meet and talk with Pulli. I don’t know what to do after seeing Pulli. The van stands there like this. Finally, I asked the people near Pulli if I could talk to them, and they said to talk.
So I went up to Pulli and introduced myself. At that time Angamaly Diaries and Sambarada were released only in Ardharatri and others. When I said Angamali Diaries, Pulli was talking about it by saying thambi antha climax. They ask me how I did that, and looking at him, Surya holds my hand, and I think, what is this heaven? I was so happy. From that I understand that they are all updated. When they say they watch even our movie, how many movies do they watch? They call us all because they see it that way. How many people who act in our language go there to make films. It’s a very happy thing,’ said Pepe.
Meanwhile, Pepe’s Onam RDX release is progressing in theaters as a mass film. The film, which did not give much hype, is getting a good response from the audience. The audience says that the film is a true mass film.
