Apple invited select creators to an “Apple Experience” event in Los angeles from January 27 to 29, fueling speculation about potential new MacBook Pro models. The company hasn’t publicly detailed the event’s purpose, but the timing coincides with the launch of its new Creator Studio app bundle adn Apple’s next quarterly earnings call.
Creator Petr Mara shared an image of his invitation on Instagram earlier this month, though it recently gained wider attention. Mara also attended an Apple event last September to preview the iPhone 17 Pro.
Apple’s Creator Studio, a collection of professional creative apps including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro, debuts on January 28. Analysts believe Apple will leverage the event to showcase new MacBook Pro models powered by M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
The company often unveils new products shortly before its quarterly earnings calls, which is scheduled for January 29. Apple updated the base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 chip in October, suggesting an upgrade for the higher-end models is likely.
That October update also included PCIe 5.0 storage, offering up to twice the SSD read and write speeds of the previous generation.
