Apple iPad Pro 11-inch M5 Deal: Save $60 at Amazon, mashable.com reports

Ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale, major tech retailers have slashed prices on multiple Apple iPad models, led by a $60 discount on the 11-inch M5 iPad Pro, according to mashable.com.

Amazon Discounts Apple Tablets Ahead of Prime Big Deal Days

Amazon has marked down the 11-inch Apple iPad Pro (M5, 256GB) to $1,139, down from its regular $1,199 list price, representing a 5% savings, mashable.com reported. The price cut arrives just ahead of the scheduled October Prime Day shopping event. Concurrently, other retail trackers have highlighted significant price drops across various iPad models and alternative tablets as online marketplaces prepare for the two-day fall sale running from Oct. 6 to Oct. 7, 2026.

Hardware Specifications Across Discounted iPad Models

The discounted M5 iPad Pro features Apple’s Neural Accelerators designed for on-device AI operations and Apple Intelligence, alongside iPadOS 26 with desktop-style windowing, mashable.com reported. In testing by Mashable, tech editor Timothy Beck Werth recorded Geekbench scores placing the M5 chip in the top 8% of tested laptops, capable of running heavy programs like Adobe Premiere Pro on its Tandem OLED Ultra Retina XDR display. Meanwhile, the iPad mini (A17 Pro, 128GB, Wi-Fi 6E) is discounted from $599 to $499 on Amazon without requiring a Prime membership. That compact 8.3-inch device features an A17 Pro chip, Liquid Retina display, and Apple Pencil Pro support. nypost.com reported that the 11-inch iPad equipped with the A16 chip is on sale for under $400, providing an entry point with a Liquid Retina display and compatibility with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.

Tablet Prices Drop After a Period of Increases

The October discounts follow a period of elevated pricing in the tablet market. iPads experienced significant price increases throughout 2026 driven by an ongoing RAM crisis, making current discounts notable for consumers. Beyond Apple hardware, alternative devices have also reached lowered price points, including the TCL NXTPAPER 14 at a record-low $349.98 and the Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet marked down 53% to $72.99 ahead of the official Prime Big Deal Days kickoff.

Prime Big Deal Days Shopping Schedule

Amazon’s fall promotional event, officially designated as Prime Big Deal Days, operates as a two-day shopping window starting on Oct. 6 and concluding on Oct. 7, 2026, nypost.com reported. While certain early discounts on tablets and electronics are already active for all customers, the full scope of promotional inventory spans 35 categories, including beauty, tech, kitchen, and fashion.
