Apple Smashes Records: Tech Giant’s Sales Soar Past $400 Billion Milestone for the First Time Ever
Apple’s AI Impact Expected to be Gradual, Despite Record Sales
Apple’s AI Function to Have Gradual Impact on Sales
Hardware and Service Growth Drive Record Sales
Apple’s total sales are expected to exceed $400 billion for the first time this year, driven by growth in the service sector and hardware sales. However, the impact of Apple’s AI function, Apple Intelligence, is expected to be gradual.
According to market research firm Counterpoint Research, most use cases provided through Apple Intelligence are not attractive enough to induce early device upgrades. As a result, iPhone sales are expected to be gradually affected.
Counterpoint Research notes that there is no pent-up demand for Apple Intelligence, making it difficult to expect a large increase in sales in the short term. However, the firm forecasts that Apple’s services revenue will surpass $100 billion for the first time next year, accounting for a quarter of the company’s total revenue.
The growth in services revenue is expected to be driven by the gradual rollout of Apple’s intelligence features. Additionally, Counterpoint Research predicts that the iPhone will continue to account for half of Apple’s revenue and remain at the center of the Apple ecosystem.
Demand for the iPhone is expected to grow in emerging markets, further driving Apple’s record sales. As the company continues to innovate and expand its services, it is likely that Apple’s AI function will play a more significant role in the future.
