Gruesome Murders in Florencio Varela, Argentina: A Drug Cartel’s Brutal Display
Three young women – Brenda, Morena (cousins), and Lara Gutierrez – were found murdered in the courtyard of a house in Florencio Varela, a city 20 kilometers south of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The killings, which occurred early Saturday morning (September 20th), were reportedly ordered by the leader of a drug cartel and shockingly broadcast live on Instagram to a closed group of 45 people.
According to Minister of Security of the Province of Buenos Aires, Javier Alonso, the cartel leader stated during the broadcast, “This is what happened to people who stole my drugs.” The crime is believed to be linked to transnational drug trading organizations.
The murders were notably brutal. Lara Gutierrez had five fingers amputated from her left hand and part of her ears cut off before being killed. The other two victims were severely beaten before their deaths, and Brenda was further mutilated after she died. Autopsies revealed the women suffered “very severe” injuries.
The alleged perpetrator, a 23-year-old known as “Pequeo J” or “Julito,” is currently missing. Authorities have identified other members of the gang and believe the motive was to instill fear and project a ”terrorist image” by the association’s leader.
The women were reportedly lured to the location under false pretenses, believing they were invited to an event.Security camera footage shows them voluntarily entering a white van on Friday (September 19th) that transported them to the house.Forensic investigation indicates they died between 3 and 6 AM on Saturday.
The house is believed to be a hub for the drug organization, serving as a distribution point for drugs supplied to various regions, including the capital city. authorities suspect the women may have witnessed something, said something,or been involved in an incident that triggered the planned revenge killing.
the investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to uncover the full extent of the cartel’s operations and bring those responsible to justice. Demonstrations have taken place in Buenos Aires in response to the horrific murders.
