Al-Marsad newspaper: Artist Hassan Asiri narrated the story of the episode in Ethiopia that angered King Abdullah from the series “Between Me and You,” and reveals the details of the dialogue that took place between him and the king after the crisis.

He said during an interview with the “Al-Liwan” program: In this case, we must prosecute Rashid Al-Shamrani, because he joked in a place where he does not joke.. So, are you joking with the king? .

Meeting King Abdullah

He continued: Usually, during the last ten days, we had the honor of meeting the king, having breakfast with him, talking, and the atmosphere was friendly. It was our good fortune that this series was shown on the “mbc” channel after the series “Tash Ma Tash.”

He added: The time for Tash is breakfast in Mecca, followed by prayer. King Abdullah, may God have mercy on him, was keen to pray the Maghrib prayer and break the fast with the people, and then he would go to his residence and we would be the ones in front of him, and this is our good fortune that he catches up with us.

His conversation with King Abdullah

He continued: The king called me while I was far away and was not near, and said, “Why are you entering into a military, an army, a coup, and so on?” I answered him, “By God, long life, this is a series and I will write it,” and I tried in a polite way to calm things down.

He continued: After breakfast, while we were walking in the corridor, the king said to Rashid, “What do you have to do with coups? These things are not decorative, even if they are comedic.” Rashid replied, “May you live long. This Hassan Asiri is the one who came up with the idea and insisted that we carry out a military coup in Africa.” I told him, “I have to divorce him. He is a liar.”

He added: So the king left us and walked away… Of course, he saw two insignificant people quarreling.
