Australia reached the target of 173 for the loss of two wickets in 18.5 overs. Mitchell Marsh’s unbeaten performance and opener David Warner’s performance from 12.2 overs helped the Kiwis to victory.

Mitchell Marsh was unbeaten on 77 off 50 balls, including six fours and four sixes. Warner hit 53 off 38 balls, including four fours and three sixes.

Captain Aaron Finch was out for just five off seven balls, including a four, in 2.3 overs. Born into the Warner-Marsh partnership, Runs led Australia to victory. Gren Maxwell, who came on after Warner’s dismissal, was unbeaten on 28 off 18 balls, including four fours and a six.

Batting first, New Zealand scored 172 for four. Captain Kane Williamson’s performance put the Kiwis in the lead. Williamson batted third and scored 85 off 48 balls, including 10 fours and three sixes.

Opener Martin Guptill hit 28 off 35 balls, including three fours, and Darrell Mitchell hit 11 off eight balls, including a six. Glenn Phillips scored 18 off 17 balls.

James Neesham was unbeaten on 13 off seven balls, including a six. Tim Seyfvert was unbeaten on eight off five balls, including a four.

Australia won the toss and elected to field, sending New Zealand to bat. The match was played at the Dubai International Stadium.
