The inclusion of original songs, particularly one performed by a led actress like Zoe Saldaña, is a smart move. It deepens the connection between the performers and the narrative, and provides a memorable takeaway for audiences. Franglen’s consistent involvement is also key; he’s become synonymous with the sonic identity of the Avatar franchise, and his expertise ensures a cohesive musical experience across all films. The choice of Miley Cyrus for the end credits song suggests a desire to reach a broader audience and provide a contemporary counterpoint to the orchestral score.
