Thiruvananthapuram: Anupama’s father PS Jayachandran’s anticipatory bail was rejected by a court in a child abduction case. The Thiruvananthapuram High Court dismissed the petition. The bail hearing was completed last day.
The Peroorkada police had registered a case on two charges of abducting a child and keeping Anupama in custody. Apart from Jayachandran, Anupama’s mother, sister, sister’s husband and two of his friends are also accused in the case. Earlier, the court had granted anticipatory bail to all the accused except their father.
Jayachandran may approach the high court in case the fast-track court rejects his anticipatory bail.
