BBQ “There is no price increase for the time being”… A different move from Kyochon bhc

Chicken franchise Genesis BBQ announced today (15th) that it will not raise chicken prices for the time being.

Genesis BBQ explained, “There are many factors for price hikes due to the rise in raw materials, minimum wage, and delivery fees, but we have made this decision so that you can enjoy our products during the year-end and New Year holidays without the burden of price increases in a difficult situation due to the re-spread of Corona 19.”

He continued, “Currently, franchisees have been constantly demanding an increase in the selling price due to various factors, but so far, the head office is absorbing these factors of price increase.”

Genesis BBQ said, “Furthermore, we plan to continue to discuss pricing policy with the accompanying committee (store owners council) to decide.” “In order to preserve the profits of merchants, the head office will continue to promote in its app to reduce the burden of merchant fees.” added.

This decision is different from previous chicken franchises, Kyochon Chicken and bhc Chicken, who raised their product prices due to increased raw and subsidiary material prices and increased labor and delivery costs.

Kyochon F&B, the operator of Kyochon Chicken, has increased the recommended price of products by an average of 8.1% since the 22nd of last month.

It ranges from 500 won to 2,000 won per item.

bhc chicken also decided to increase the recommended retail price of some products, including chicken menu, by 1,000 to 2,000 won from the 20th.
