The Indian Cricket Board is all set to appoint new people for the coaching job of the Indian cricket team. The BCCI officially announced this while the current India coach Rahul Dravid’s contract is set to expire in June. This was released by BCCI President Jaysha.

Rahul Dravid’s contract will only last till June. He is also free to apply for an Indian coaching job if he wishes. After discussions with the new coach, a decision will be taken regarding the other coaches required for batting and field bowling,’ said Jai Shah.

According to reports from BCCI sources, it is impossible to say whether the coach of the Indian cricket team will be a foreigner or an Indian, and the final decisions will be taken by the CAC. Jai Shah also said that Indian Cricket will appoint the next coach for the first three-year term.

Jai Shah also spoke about the new impact players rule in the Indian Premier League.

“Whether the impact player rule in the IPL should continue in the future will be decided after consultation with the captains and coaches. According to the Impact Player Act, two Indian players get a chance in the IPL. But now no one has raised any objection against this law,” added Jai Shah.
