The NFL Paris Game takes place on October 25 at the Stade de France, marking the first official regular-season game hosted by the league in France. The matchup kicks off with broadcast coverage on France Télévisions in clear, while beIN Sports carries the season-long rights, sportsmarketing.fr reported.

Global Markets Program Grants New Orleans Saints French Exclusivity

The National Football League assigns its international territories through its Global Markets Program, which launched in 2022 to let franchises conduct commercial activities abroad. Franchises submit dossiers in the spring for league committee approval, securing rights for a minimum of five years. Today, all 32 franchises operate across 22 markets.

France occupies a unique tier within this structure. The New Orleans Saints hold the exclusive commercial marketing rights for France, including Monaco, following their approval in May 2023. The franchise secured this territory first due to historical ties between Louisiana and France. By contrast, eleven franchises share the German market, while seven teams hold exclusive single-team territories.

League Control Shapes the Stade de France Fixture

Playing the international fixture does not grant the home team complete commercial control of the event. The New Orleans Saints confirmed to their season ticket holders that the league entirely pilots the game. Because the franchise yields one of its home fixtures for the Paris trip, its 2026 subscription package contains eight regular-season games in New Orleans rather than ten.

The NFL manages commercial agreements directly. American Express serves as a major partner for the fixture, while the league selected agencies Infront France and Publicis Sport through a competitive tender to drive French partnerships. SPORSORA, the economic organization representing French sport, published an infographic listing thirteen partners for the inaugural event. Only American Express functions as a commercial sponsor in the traditional sense, while GL events handles organization, and entities like On Location and DERTOUR manage ticketing and hospitality alongside seven institutional partners.

Audience Building Precedes Commercial Contracts

The New Orleans Saints have spent their monopoly period building local visibility rather than announcing traditional commercial sponsors. In May 2026, the franchise retained the agency Sportfive to run its French-language social channels and editorial output. The team has also collaborated with the Mousquetaires de Paris, supported flag football ahead of its 2028 Olympic inclusion, and sent players to Paris in March to meet students and media.

The NFL estimates its fan base in France reaches 13 to 14 million people, making it the third-largest European market for the league. While the Saints work to convert casual league followers into franchise supporters, their five-year rights agreement runs until 2028. Any commercial partner who signs with the team secures a year-round relationship, contrasting with brands that buy single-event association through the league’s central office.
