The Belgian billiards player, Frederic Kudron, representing Welcome Savings Bank, has emerged as the dominating force in the Professional Billiards Association (PBA) by securing eight professional championships. With this achievement, Kudron has taken the first step towards winning the coveted 1 billion won prize money.

In his recent match against Birol Wimaz from Welcome Savings Bank of Turkey, Kudron exhibited his undeniable skills and emerged victorious with a 4-1 set score (15-13, 15-3, 15-5, 13-15, 15-11).

Kudron’s remarkable journey in professional billiards spans five seasons, during which he participated in 30 tours and won a total of 8 championships. This remarkable feat has not only broken records in the PBA but has also solidified Kudron’s unbeatable streak in the finals.

The talented player has not only earned an impressive 100 million won in prize money but has also accumulated a total of 994.5 million won solely from his winnings. Additionally, Kudron has secured various prizes throughout the seasons, including six rounds of ‘Well Bang Top Ranking’ (KRW 4 million) and one round of ‘TS Shampoo Perfect Q’ (KRW 10 million), further boosting his prize money to a historic 1,028.5 million won. This makes him the first player to enter the exclusive 1 billion won prize money club in the history of professional billiards.

However, immediately after his championship win, Kudron attracted attention as he did not attend the press conference and left the stadium. The reason behind this controversy was a disagreement with Mr. A, who claimed to be the manager of ‘Cambodia Express’ Throng Piavi, and engaged in a heated argument during the press conference without permission. As a result, Kudron decided to leave the stadium.

The PBA, which had kicked off the season with 1 billion won in accumulated prize money, is now facing the need to reevaluate its professional system, considering issues of security and interview refusals. The PBA Secretariat has issued an apology for this incident and promised to take necessary measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future. /letmeout@osen.co.kr
