CJ Emmons: Britain’s Got Talent Star Had Emergency Surgery Before Show

CJ Emmons, a semi-finalist on “Britain’s Got Talent,” revealed he underwent emergency surgery just weeks before his live performance on the show. The 42-year-old singer from California, shared that he had been hospitalized due to a life-threatening gallbladder issue.
Emmons experienced severe abdominal pain and discovered his gallbladder was “completely dead” and turning gangrenous.doctors warned that it was on the verge of causing sepsis, which could have been fatal. He underwent surgery on May 3 after receiving antibiotics.
Despite the surgery, Emmons was determined to compete. He admitted that singing was painful due to the incision in his abdominal wall. However, his doctor encouraged him to continue singing to strengthen the area. Emmons performed Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” but did not receive the golden Buzzer.
“Two weeks ago I was in the hospital receiving life-threatening surgery, and I fought for that, and I’m fighting for this. I want this so bad,” CJ Emmons,”Britain’s Got Talent” semi-finalist said.
The “Britain’s Got Talent” semi-final also featured a live marriage proposal. Magician Harry Moulding incorporated a proposal into his act, securing him a spot in the finals. An audience member named jess was brought on stage, where her boyfriend proposed.

The “Britain’s Got Talent” final is scheduled to air on ITV on may 31 at 7 p.m. The winner will receive a spot at the Royal Variety Performance and a £250,000 cash prize. Other finalists include The Blackouts, Vinnie mckee, and Jasmine and Jasmine Rice.
