Kerala Blasters Secure First Win of the Season

Kochi, Kerala – Kerala Blasters won their first match of the season with a thrilling 2-1 victory over East Bengal. The Blasters’ first win was secured by Kwame Pepra’s goal in the 88th minute, after Malayalee PV Vishnu gave East Bengal the lead.

The match began with Kerala Blasters showing promise, with Jesus Jimenez making an innovative move that hit the post. However, East Bengal soon took control, with Sachin Suresh blocking shots from Nandakumar and Madih Talal. The Blasters had a chance to score, but KP Rahul was unable to get his head on Sandeep Singh’s cross.

East Bengal stepped up their game, with Vishnu replacing Mahesh Singh and breaking the tie in the 52nd minute. The goal was a result of Sandeep Singh’s mistake, which allowed Nandakumar to strike. Vishnu then put the ball in the net with ease. However, the Blasters quickly responded with a beautiful move by Noah Sadui, who slotted the ball past the East Bengal keeper.
