Bolland’s double shot; First Kohli and then Jadeja; India is on the rise

London: A heavy blow for India, who are fighting for victory in the final of the World Test Championship. Resuming batting on the fifth day, India lost Virat Kohli and then Ravindra Jadeja. Scott Boland’s double hit left India reeling in the first session of the fifth day.

Kohli returned with 49 runs. Former Australian captain Steve Smith dismissed him with a brilliant shot off Scott Boland. Ravindra Jadeja, who came immediately after that, also fell without getting a run. The player returned with a catch to wicketkeeper Alex Carey.

Chasing a target of 444 runs, India are currently on 184 for the loss of five wickets. India need 260 more runs to win. Ajinkya Rahane with 30 runs and Srikar Bharat with four runs are at the top.

Australia were bowled out for 469 in the first innings and India’s struggle ended with 296 runs. Australia scored 270 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the second innings and declared the innings.

Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets and Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami each took two wickets for India. Mohammad Siraj took a wicket.

The Aussies lost Labuchane early on the fourth day. The player returned with 41 runs. Cameron Greene, who came next, got off to a good start but it didn’t last long. The player is out with 25 runs. Australia lost these two wickets in the first session on the fourth day.

Australia started with a collapse in the second innings. Warner returned with one run and Usman Khawaja with 13 runs. Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami took the wickets.

Later, Steve Smith and Marnes Labschein took the Aussies forward. But with the score at 86, Jadeja sent Smith back and brought India back into the game. The centurion scored 34 runs in the first innings. After the score crossed 100, the top scorer of the first innings, Travis Head, also came back.
