Meanwhile, President Lee Young-hee joined Samsung Electronics in 2007 after working at Unilever Korea, SC Johnson Korea, and L’Oréal Korea. At Samsung Electronics, he served as the marketing group head of the strategic marketing team in the wireless division, the marketing team head of the strategic marketing office, and the global marketing center head. She was elevated to president at the end of 2022, setting the record as the first female president who was not a Samsung owner.

Last year, she was the only Korean to be named as one of the Power Forbes Asia 2023 Businesswomen selected by the American business magazine Forbes.
