The Korean launch vehicle Nuri (KSLV-II) reached the target altitude of 700 km and successfully separated the satellite. The flight of the Nuri was carried out according to a pre-planned procedure.
Nuri was launched from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, Jeollanam-do at 4 pm on the 21st, and at 4:02 pm, the first stage was separated and the second stage was successfully separated. At 4:03 pm, the launch satellite cover (pairing) was removed and it passed an altitude of 200 km.
After that, the Nuri continued to fly normally, and at 4:13 pm, the 3rd stage engine stopped and reached the target orbit. Then, at 4:14 pm, the performance verification satellite was separated, and the satellite model was separated at 4:16 pm.
Oh Tae-seok, 1st Vice Minister of Science and ICT, said, “The flight of the Nuri has been completed according to the pre-planned procedure.
The Ministry of Science and ICT is planning to announce the status of Nuri’s main flight, target orbit, and communication with ground stations in the future at 5:10 pm.
