Global music icon Celine Dion has announced her return to the stage with a limited series of concerts in Paris, marking her first headlining performances since 2020. The engagement, titled CELINE DION PARIS 2026, will take place at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France.

The residency is scheduled as a five-week limited engagement consisting of 10 performances. The concert series will open on Saturday, September 12, 2026 and run through October 14, 2026. The event is expected to be one of the most significant live music occurrences of the decade, featuring a repertoire of Dion’s most popular hits performed in both English and French.

Record-Breaking Ticket Demand

The announcement has triggered an unprecedented level of global demand. According to reports, nearly 9 million people worldwide registered for the ticket pre-sale lottery, setting a new world record. This surge in interest far exceeded the available capacity, as only 450,000 tickets are available for the 10-show run.

The registration phase for the pre-sale closed on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The digital infrastructure supporting the registrations experienced significant strain; nearly 500,000 fans connected simultaneously at the moment of launch, and more than one million registrations were completed within the first 24 hours.

General ticket sales are scheduled to begin on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 CEST, which corresponds to 4:00 a.m. ET and 1:00 a.m. PT.

Health Struggles and Return to Performance

The comeback follows a prolonged absence from the public eye and the stage. Dion has not headlined concerts since 2020, a hiatus caused initially by the pandemic and subsequently by a rare neurological condition. In 2022, the singer was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a condition that affects her daily life and was the subject of the Amazon Prime documentary I Am: Celine Dion.

In a video announcement, Dion addressed her health and the support she received during her recovery process. She stated that she is managing her health and has resumed singing and dancing.

Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love. You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly fortunate to have your support. This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life…I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September! I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of YOU!

The Announcement

Dion revealed the news on March 30, 2026, coinciding with her 58th birthday. The announcement was delivered via an emotional video message broadcast against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. The reveal was complemented by an outdoor promotional campaign across the streets of Paris and a broadcast on France Télévisions.

Reflecting on the secrecy of the upcoming shows, Dion noted that while she has recorded many birthday messages throughout her career, this was the first time she had recorded one for her own birthday, adding that it had been difficult to keep the return a secret.

By headlining an extended run at the Paris La Défense Arena, Dion joins an elite group of international artists to perform a residency at Europe’s largest indoor arena.
