Media personality and parliamentarian Mustafa Bakri said that the Central Bank will hold an important meeting on Thursday to decide interest rates.
He wrote in a blog post on his official page on the “X” platform, on Wednesday evening: “An important meeting of the Central Bank. Tomorrow is the beginning of confronting the crisis of the rise of the dollar. Egypt will never fall, no matter how difficult the circumstances are and how severe the wars become.”
He added: “Egypt is strong with its great people and its honorable and loyal men in the face of wars that aim to bring it to its knees and force it to accept the plan of displacement and liquidation of the Palestinian cause. The dollar will collapse, God willing.”

The Central Bank of Egypt will meet on Thursday, February 1, 2023, to decide interest rates, after the overnight lending rate was maintained at 20.25%, while the overnight deposit rate remained at 19.25% during the bank’s last meeting.
