Chance of heavy rain in the state; Orange Alert in 11 Districts | News in Malayalam

THiruvananthapuram : Heavy rain continues in the state. Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in at least three places. Heavy rains continue in Central and Southern Kerala. The Orange Alert has been issued in 11 districts and the Met office has forecast heavy rains from Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode.

The water level of Mullaperiyar Dam has started rising. The water level in Mullaperiyar Dam has risen to 128.80 feet. In addition, the Idukki dam reached 2391.12 feet. Pathanamthitta district also received heavy rainfall. Following this, the water level in the Kaki Ananthodu dam also started rising. Following this, the shutters of the dam are likely to open.

Reports indicate that severe flooding has started in Kuttanad as well. Kollam Ayur Anchal Road in Peringallur saw the road collapse due to rain. Traffic to this area has since been banned. Roden was now down as roadworks continued.
