China’s C919 Aircraft Begins New Service Route from Shanghai to Xi’an

SHANGHAI, March 8 (Xinhua) — China’s self-developed large passenger plane, the C919, began service on a new route connecting Shanghai with China on Friday. in northwestern China’s Shaanxi Province

Flight MU2152 (MU2152), operated by China Eastern Airlines, departed Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport at approximately 8:40 am and headed for Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. This marks the opening of the third regular flight route for the C919 aircraft.

The C919 makes its first commercial flight in May 2023 and will continue regular service between Shanghai and Chengdu. The capital of Sichuan Province (Sichuan), southwest China. The second regular flight route connects major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.

The airline’s C919 fleet had flown 1,131 commercial flights on February 29, providing more than 3,272 safe flight hours and carrying more than 145,000 passengers.
