From food kit to a child
Started on Friday December 22, 2023 at the Palace of the Presidency of the Republic, the actions of the Togolese Head of State, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé in favor of children during this end-of-year holiday period, continued on Saturday December 23, 2023 in health centers and orphanages in Lomé.
A delegation from the Presidency of the Republic led by Ms. Esse Tatagan (Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic) and Ms. Aicha Péré (Ai Coordinator of the Presidential Unit for the Execution and Monitoring of Priority Projects/CPES), was notably alongside children hospitalized at the CMS of Adidogomé, Cacavéli and the Sylvanus Olympio University Hospital Center (CHU SO).
They gave food kits and toys to these hospitalized children. It was in the presence of representatives of local authorities and the staff and managers of these health facilities.
During the visit to CMS Adidogomé, CMS Cacavéli and CHU Sylvanus Olympio, the delegation conveyed to the children and their families a message of peace, solidarity and reassurance from the President of the Republic. On her behalf, she also expressed wishes for a speedy recovery, thus affirming the continued support of the President of the Republic in these difficult times.
The parents of the beneficiary children expressed their gratitude to the Head of State for these donations which relieve them and bring smiles to their children during this end-of-year holiday season.
“These donations give us joy. Thank you very much to the President of the Republic for everything he does for us Togolese women and for our children, especially for this gesture of generosity on the eve of the end-of-year celebrations,” declared Akossiwa, parent of a sick child at the Adidogomé CMS.
The delegation of the Presidency of the Republic was also in orphanages in the capital to offer festive kits and convey the message of support from the Head of State to these reception centers which work to protect vulnerable children.
The well-being of the Togolese populations, especially that of children, is a matter of tomorrow, has always been one of the major axes of the social actions of the President of the Republic, hence the importance of these gestures of love and generosity which multiply from year to year.
