CJ AI Center and KAIST, brain-mimicking artificial intelligence joint research business agreement

The CJ AI Center and the Department of Brain and Cognitive Science of the Korea Institute of Advanced Science and Technology (KAIST) signed an MOU on joint research in the field of artificial intelligence that mimics the brain at the AI Center in Sinsa Square, Sinsa -dong, on the 31st .

Brain-mimicking AI refers to AI technology that designs artificial intelligence (AI) in a way that the human brain works and analyzes human intentions and behaviors in biological signals including brain activity.

With this agreement, the two institutions will conduct joint research on robot arm control using brain-machine interface technology and machine learning (machine learning) for the next three years. In the medium to long term, we intend to jointly promote the establishment of an artificial intelligence research center that mimics the brain.

In addition, the Department of Brain Science and Cognitive Science at KAIST plans to provide internship opportunities for undergraduate students and promote personal exchange such as sending CJ researchers to KAIST.

CJ said, “Through this collaboration between industry and universities, we will be able to gain competitiveness in securing AI source technology related to the recognition of intent and control of robots by decoding brain waves,” he explained.
