Clipse Announces New Album, First in 16 Years

the hip-hop world‌ is buzzing: Clipse, the acclaimed rap duo featuring brothers Pusha T and Malice, are​ set to drop‍ their first album in 16 years.Titled LET GOD SORT EM OUT, ⁣the album arrives July 11, with a new single, “Ace Trumpets,” slated for release may 30.

Pharrell Williams, a longtime collaborator, produced the album. Roc Nation will partner in marketing⁤ and distribution. Pre-orders are now available,with exclusive ​merchandise​ designed by streetwear influencers to be added soon. Artist KAWS,⁢ who⁤ contributed to their 2009 album, ’til the casket⁤ Drops, created the artwork.

Clipse initially⁣ formed in Virginia Beach, Va., in the mid-1990s.Williams discovered Pusha and Malice, and they‌ honed their skills rapping about their youth over beats crafted by Williams’ production duo, the Neptunes. The group disbanded in 2009 after Malice turned to religion amid a federal investigation that lead to their manager, Anthony Gonzalez’s, arrest.

Pusha T then launched a solo career, signing with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music in 2010. His 2018 album, Daytona, entirely produced by West, peaked at No. 3 ⁢on the Billboard 200 and earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.

After pursuing individual projects following their ‘Til the Casket Drops tour, Clipse reunited⁢ at the‌ 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards.They have​ since performed at⁢ select ⁢concerts,including the primavera Sound festival in Barcelona last⁣ year.
