New York: Want to meet the carnivorous dinosaurs that lived 76 million years ago? It is in the Sotheby’s Museum in New York. Only in fossil form. But this time the fossil has been auctioned to private individuals.
The auction will be held on July 28 after the exhibition, which starts on July 21. Gorgasaurus is placed in the genus Tyrannosaurus rex. These were the most dangerous carnivorous dinosaurs of the time. Gorgasaurus was found in what is now the United States and Canada. Gorgasaurus, 10 feet tall and 22 feet long, was discovered in the Judith River area of Havre, Montana.
More than one of these fossils are preserved in the Sotheby’s Museum. The museum clarified that only one is being auctioned to private individuals.
