Controversy Surrounds Sara Netanyahu’s Comments on Freed Hostages

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s wife, Sarah, blamed the hostages who were released in November on the basis of the agreement with Hamas. She said that neither she nor her husband had been thanked by the freedmen.

Sarah’s conversation was released by Israel’s News 12. Sara said, “You see how many hostages came back and none of them even thanked us.”

After the news broke, the freed hostages and their relatives came out against Sarah and Netanyahu. Responding to the issue, the mother of a released hostage asked if they were ready to take responsibility for beating her son.

Another freed hostage, Liam Orr, shared a screenshot of the News 12 report on his Instagram account saying, “I’m sorry you hit me.”

‘I’m sorry I was kidnapped. Next time I will spend my holidays in Gaza,’ Yagin Yaakov, another freed hostage, responded on social media.

So much ridicule and criticism is raised against Sara Netanyahu’s statement. Most of these are released hostages.

But Benjamin Netanyahu’s office responded that the news was false. The explanation is that the channel has released lies and legends. The media asked for Sara Netanyahu’s response on the matter, but she did not respond and moved away.

On October 8, Hamas took 253 Israelis hostage, including soldiers. Hamas released 105 of them. The Israeli army intervened and freed three people. Apart from this, 11 hostages were found dead in the Israeli attack. Israel has confirmed that more may have been killed.
