Babal Guimarães: Influencer’s Prison Regime Tightened After Assault Video
Brazilian influencer Emanuel Francisco dos Santos Junior, more commonly known as Babal Guimarães, who is currently serving a sentence for causing bodily harm to his ex-wife, has had his prison regime downgraded to a closed regime. This decision was signed this Tuesday (December 9th, 2025) by Judge Alexandre Machado de Oliveira of the Justice of Alagoas.
The judge steadfast that Babal committed another crime while serving a sentence of one year, four months, and nine days in an open regime. This action follows the recent release of images depicting Babal allegedly attacking his girlfriend, model Karla Lessa, outside a condominium in Maceió.
The video, recorded in the early hours of November 28th and released last Thursday (December 4th, 2025), shows the influencer allegedly pulling Karla’s hair, pushing her against the wall, and throwing an object towards her during an argument on the sidewalk of the building.
In the decision, the judge states that Babal “did not satisfactorily comply with one of the conditions imposed, namely the commission of a new crime,” which, according to the judge, makes it “impossible to remain in the current regime of serving the sentence.” The judge also highlighted that the previous conviction was a factor in this decision.
