target Field witnessed a resurgence of‍ Minnesota high school baseball ‍power Saturday ⁤as Cretin-Derham Hall (23-4) triumphed over Minnetonka 3-2 in the ‌Class 4A championship. This victory marks the Raiders’ first state title since 2007, ​their ‍only state tournament appearance in that span.

The ⁤Raiders’ championship aspirations required ‌a comeback. ‌Minnetonka (17-10), the third seed, jumped to‍ a 2-0 lead in the second inning. ⁢Skippers pitcher Jack Butterworth held the lead for three innings before exiting in the fourth with a reported⁢ forearm injury. Mateo Aldecocea relieved Butterworth but struggled with his command.
