A woman has been caught illegally raising alligators in the United States. The woman was found to have stolen crocodile eggs from a zoo over 20 years ago.

According to foreign media such as CBS News in the United States on the 7th (local time), an official from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Service said on Facebook the day before, “I am especially grateful to the zoo ‘Animal World and Snake Farm’. for helping the crocodiles to migrate.” A video was posted showing an alligator being taken to a zoo.

According to officials, the authorities recently found a crocodile that was being raised by a volunteer woman who served at the zoo 20 years ago. Mr A was found to have stolen a crocodile egg or a baby crocodile that had just hatched from an egg in his pocket in the past. Mr. And has been raising crocodiles in the back yard of his home, about 80 km away from the zoo.

The authorities decided to return the crocodile to the zoo after confirming that Mr A had raised the crocodile illegally without obtaining a licence. There are four types of alligator licenses in Texas, including a farmer’s license that allows you to keep alligators, but it is illegal to personally keep alligators without these licenses.

Mr A was fined less than 1,000 dollars (about 1.32 million won) for illegal breeding, but the statute of limitations for stealing eggs is said to have passed.
