Manpower support for farms with labor shortage during the farming season

[충청뉴스 김용우 기자] Nonghyup Daejeon Headquarters (Director Kim Young-hoon) and the Daejeon City Branch of the Hometown Housewives’ Association (Chairman Rae Eun-rang) visited a grape farm in Okcheon, North Chungcheong Province on the 9th to help out in rural areas.

On this day, about 20 executives and employees of the Daejeon City Branch of the Hometown Housewives’ Association and Daejeon Agricultural Cooperative helped put grape bags on farms that were experiencing difficulties due to a lack of labor during the farming season.

On this day, a member of the beneficiary farm said, “We were at a loss due to lack of labor, but the hometown housewives’ association and Nonghyup employees rolled up their sleeves and helped us with the work, which was a great help.”

Kim Young-hoon, head of the Daejeon headquarters, said, “We would like to thank you for your help in a situation where it is difficult to find workers due to a shortage of manpower capable of farming due to the aging of the rural population.” He added, “Nonghyup plans to actively support farmers who are short of workers so that farming can be done in a timely manner.” “He said.

Rae Eun-rang, president of the Daejeon branch of the Hometown Housewives’ Association, said, “As a local female leader, I will strive to take the lead in various volunteer activities with Daejeon Nonghyup.”
