Hampyeong-gun is leading the popularization and nationwide spread of advanced chrysanthemum bonsai cultivation techniques and is receiving rave reviews from chrysanthemum lovers.
According to the county on the 13th, 21 people, including Uljin-gun wild flower research members, visited the Hampyeong-gun Agricultural Technology Center and conducted a field trip, including teaching seasonal cultivation management techniques and materials for chrysanthemum bonsai cultivation methods for the exhibition of chrysanthemum works.
This tour was designed to discuss popularization and development plans through exchange of chrysanthemum bonsai cultivation technology in Hampyeong-gun.

Hampyeong-gun manages 23 registered varieties of chrysanthemums and 240 types of breeding lines, while also showing off nationally competent chrysanthemum bonsai techniques by producing beautiful chrysanthemum bonsai and various chrysanthemum sculptures through the operation of the ‘Korea Chrysanthemum Club’.
In particular, the Hampyeong ‘Korea National Festival’, where chrysanthemum bonsai works are exhibited every year, was once again recognized for its value by being selected as the representative festival of Jeollanam-do and winning the Korea Festival Content Grand Prize last year.
Moon Jeong-mo, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We will lead the nationwide spread of advanced chrysanthemum bonsai cultivation techniques accumulated through national exhibitions, etc.,” and added, “We want to provide generous help to everyone who is interested in chrysanthemums.”
