Daesang Welllife announced on the 16th the release of ‘Curact’, a unique medical food designed specifically for patients with pressure sores and burns under their food brand for patients, ‘New Care’.

New Care Curact is a groundbreaking product that aids in the speedy recovery of patients by incorporating three essential amino acids (arginine, glutamine, and BCAA) and collagen. In South Korea alone, there was an average of 30,000 bed sore patients between 2018 and last year. For patients in need of wound healing, such as bedsores, the American Society of Intravenous and Enteral Nutrition recommends the intake of arginine, glutamine, and collagen.

Each daily serving of this premium product contains 7000mg of L-glutamine, 3000mg of L-arginine, BCAA (essential amino acids), and 2000mg of collagen. Glutamine and BCAA contribute to the synthesis of proteins, which help in muscle and body tissue development as well as antibody production. Arginine, on the other hand, promotes collagen production, supporting cell and body protein synthesis.

The L-arginine and L-glutamine used in Curact are produced domestically using Daesang’s proprietary technology, which has been in place since 1956. The product achieves a fresh taste by incorporating domestically sourced apple concentrate powder. Convenient to consume, it can be mixed with water and is conveniently packaged in pouch form to enhance portability.

An official from Daesang Welllife stated, “Pressure ulcers result in a detrimental cycle where patients experience a significant decline in their quality of life, leading to increased hospitalization and medical expenses. With Curact, we aim to break this cycle and provide relief for these patients.”

New Care Curact is a product that helps patients recover quickly by containing three types of amino acids (arginine, glutamine, and BCAA) and collagen. Between 2018 and last year, there were an average of 30,000 bed sore patients in Korea. The American Society of Intravenous and Enteral Nutrition recommends taking arginine, glutamine, and collagen for patients who need to heal wounds such as bedsores.

The new product contains 7000mg of L-glutamine, 3000mg of L-arginine and BCAA (essential amino acids), and 2000mg of collagen, based on the daily intake of 2 packs. Glutamine and BCAA promote the synthesis of proteins that help build muscle and body tissues and antibodies, and arginine promotes collagen production to help synthesize cells and body proteins.

The L-arginine and L-glutamine used in the product were produced 100% domestically with Daesang’s proprietary technology which has been going on since 1956. The fresh taste was also realized by using domestic apple concentrate powder. It is easy to drink by mixing it with water, and is made in pouch form to increase portability.

An official from Daesang Welllife said, “When pressure ulcers occur, patients experience a vicious cycle where their quality of life is significantly reduced and hospitalization and medical costs increase.” I hope I can,” he said.
