Democratic Party Leader Rejects Impeachment Claims

During an interview with SBS Radio’s ‘Kim Tae-hyun Political Show’, Representative Park Joo-min dismissed claims from within the party to impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol and Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon.

Addressing the issue, Representative Park stated, “I want to make it clear that there is no consideration within the party for such actions.”

Party Divisions

There have been divisions within the party regarding the impeachment of President Yoon and Justice Minister Han. During the interview, the host asked for the personal thoughts of Democratic Party Representatives Kim Yong-min and Min Hyeong-bae. Representative Park responded by acknowledging the differing perspectives within the party.

At a recent book concert, Representative Kim expressed concerns about the potential misuse of impeachment as a means for the National Assembly to control the president. He argued that proposing impeachment in this manner could be seen as an anti-Yoon coalition move.

Leadership Stand

Addressing the perception that the leadership is condoning the impeachment claims of hardliners within the party, Representative Park clarified, “The party has not officially discussed or reviewed the impeachment claims. There has been no encouragement or support for such actions.”

He also rejected the impeachment of Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon, stating, “It has not been formally reviewed or discussed within the party.”

Representative Park Joo-min, who serves as senior vice leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, rejected claims by some within the party to impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol and Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon, saying, “I tell you clearly that nothing is considered within the party.”

In an interview with SBS Radio’s ‘Kim Tae-hyun Political Show’ today, the host asked Rep. Park and Democratic Party Representative Kim Yong-min and Min Hyeong-bae had their personal thoughts, and said, “I think you can look at it that way.”

Earlier, at the book concert Rep. Min on the 19th, Representative Kim said, “The way the National Assembly can use to keep control of the president alone now, regardless of the will of the president, is impeachment,” and he argued, “It cannot but clearly identify the anti-Yoon coalition by proposing the impeachment of the president. “I did.

Representative Park responded to the point that the leadership condones the impeachment claims of the hardliners within the party, saying, “A few months have passed since they brought up impeachment,” and “I believe that the tone of the word condone also includes the expression encouragingly, but that is not true at all.” I drew a line.

Representative Park also rejected the impeachment of Minister Han Dong-hoon, saying, “It has not been reviewed, and it has not been officially discussed.”
