Despite the closure of Giza Park… “Agriculture”: 37 thousand visitors to zoos in 5 governorates on Eid

During the days of Eid al-Fitr, zoos in the governorates witnessed a large turnout of visitors during the first and second days of the holiday, for the first time after the closure of the Zoo in Giza to implement development work, especially the Alexandria Zoo, which had a number of visitors reaching 11,000 on the first day, bringing the number of visitors to Regional parks to more than 37 thousand visitors.

Dr. Ihab Saber, head of the Veterinary Services Authority, said in press statements today, Thursday, that the number of visitors to zoos in the regions and governorates of Alexandria, Sharqia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Fayoum, and Beni Suef exceeded 37,000 visitors on the first day of Eid for the first time, after the public turnout these parks witnessed. “Saber” added that according to the directives of Mr. Al-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Engineer Mustafa Al-Sayyad, Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock, all measures have been taken to ensure the safety of visitors and provide them with all amenities and entertainment to enjoy the Eid vacation, stressing that, for the first time, zoos in the governorates are receiving these numbers. In light of the development processes in these parks, visitors are served in various governorates.

He explained that the largest display and exchange (recycling) campaign for wild animals, birds and reptiles was implemented between regional zoos in the governorates, with the aim of bringing joy and pleasure to the public during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday by increasing the number of animals.

Saber pointed out that a promotional campaign was implemented to bring joy to visitors at the Aquarium in Zamalek in Jabaliya to spend the Eid Al-Fitr, Spring and Sham El-Nessim holidays, while providing all amenities to enjoy the holiday and holidays, noting that it witnessed a large turnout of visitors during the first days of Eid Al-Fitr.
