Actress Nancy Ajram spoke about the major crisis that her family went through in 2020 after a Syrian young man stormed her house and her husband, Fadi Al-Hashem, shot him, explaining that until now she still feels fear.

Nancy Ajram said during her interview on the Big Time podcast with the journalist Amr Adeeb: “I still have fear, at home when I hear any sound, and at night I imagine the scene and fear it from time to time. I go through stages of fear and hope to get out of them.”

Nancy Ajram continued, speaking about her daughters and the impact of what happened on them: “I asked a child specialist because they had been exposed to trauma and moments that were a nightmare for them. I asked and was afraid that this would affect them at school and in their lives. I was afraid that it would be a shock that they would not be able to overcome in the future, and thank God, the first months.” “It was difficult, especially at school. They were bullied, but I was able to overcome the crisis.”

Nancy Ajram continued: “My husband and I have passed this stage. It was more difficult for him. I did not attend the incident. I was only listening, but I was in another room and I heard voices and I do not know who the gunfire was at. These are not good memories.”

Nancy Ajram confirmed that she was keen to return to work quickly for the sake of her family, saying: “I had to continue working until I got my daughters out of the shock they were in.”

It is noteworthy that Fadi Al-Hashem, Nancy Ajram’s husband, was acquitted of all charges against him 3 years after the date of the case, which sparked widespread controversy on social media sites, related to his killing of a young Syrian man named Muhammad Al-Mousa by gunfire.

The court decided to prevent his trial with what was assigned to him, and to keep all fees and expenses, after basing its ruling on the psychological and nervous state that Nancy Ajram’s husband had fallen under and his fear for his family.
