The FAA’s traffic management program,initiated ‍just⁣ before 3 p.m., was in affect until 9 p.m. The agency reported average delays of about an hour as of 3:15 p.m., with expectations of longer waits as the afternoon progressed. The flight delays impacted air travel and airport operations.

Data from FlightAware indicated‌ that 474 flights were delayed⁢ and four were canceled as of 3:15 p.m. Southwest Airlines bore the brunt of the​ disruptions, with 211 delayed flights and two cancellations.United Airlines reported 107 delayed flights, while Delta had one cancellation.
