Discover Your 2024 YouTube Music Recap: Top Songs, Artists, and More

YouTube Music has released its 2024 Music Recap, providing users with personalized statistics about their listening habits. Users can view their top artists, songs, moods, genres, and more. To access the recap, open the YouTube or YouTube Music app. Look for a banner that invites you to check out your recap. If you don’t see it, go to your profile, select “Your Recap,” and then tap “get your recap.”

This year’s recap features animated cards, creating a more engaging experience reminiscent of Spotify’s Wrapped. Instead of static images, users can enjoy audiovisual elements that match the rhythm of their top songs. YouTube Music introduces three new stats to enhance the experience. Users will receive a summary of their music tastes, which may describe their listening habits as “moody” or “amped.”

Additionally, users can view a timeline highlighting key moments from the year. For example, you might learn that “January was your top month with Charli XCX.” YouTube Music will assign you an alter-ego based on your favorite tracks and artists, such as “The Hometown Hero” or “The Life of the Party.”

This year’s recap also includes podcast highlights, showcasing your top podcast and a list of your top five podcasts. Spotify and Apple Music are expected to offer similar yearly recaps in the coming weeks.
