Does rushing to pray affect its validity? Dar Al-Iftaa warns of something that invalidates it

Does rushing to pray affect her health? This is something that Dar Al-Iftaa clarified on its official page on the social networking site “Facebook”.

The speed factor that affects the validity of prayer

The fatwa said: The haste that affects the validity of the prayer is that the praying person performs the pillar without settling in it, and this stability is called by the jurists as tranquility, which is: the stability of the limbs for a short period of time in performing all the pillars of the prayer, such as when the worshiper is at ease in his bowing and prostration for a time that is sufficient for him to say: (Glory be to Him). My Lord, the Great) in bowing, or (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High) in prostration – at least once. If he performs the pillar and his limbs are stable and at ease with a degree of reassurance, then that is sufficient for him, and it does not constitute haste that violates the validity of the prayer or invalidates it.

It showed that the person praying hastening his prayer while maintaining peace of mind in performing the pillars of the prayer does not prejudice its validity, and this is supported by the fact that his prayer, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, was a light one. Imam Muslim narrated in his “Sahih” on the authority of Anas bin Malik, may God Almighty be pleased with him, that he said: “I have never prayed behind an imam whose prayer was lighter or more complete than the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family.”

Al-Qadi Iyad said in “Ikmal al-Mu’allim Bi Fawa’id Muslim” (2/386, ed.

The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, condemned those who prayed hastily without maintaining humility, reassurance, and remembrance. He said, as narrated by Muslim in his “Sahih”: “This is the prayer of the hypocrite, who sits and watches the sun even when it is between the horns of Satan.” He stood up and pecked it four times, not mentioning God in it except a little”.

Conditions that must be met by the imam

As Dar Al-Iftaa said, leading prayer in Islam has a great importance and a high status. As a group of Muslims is established, their prayer is superior and its status is higher than their prayer alone. Because of the great importance of imamate, the Sharia stipulates that the best and most knowledgeable of the Muslims attending the prayer should be presented with the best reading of the Book of God, knowledge of the Sunnah, advanced age, and the like. The Sharia has provided for the best and most knowledgeable of them to lead the worshipers; Taking care of the terms and conditions of prayer; The imam is the guarantor of their prayers, so if he is correct, then it is his fault and theirs, and if he makes a mistake, then it is his fault and not theirs.

Because of the great importance of the Imamate, Sharia stipulates that it should be presented by the best Muslim who attends the prayer, has read the Book of God, has knowledge of the Sunnah, is of advanced age, and the like. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, was the leader of the Muslims in their prayers when he attended them, and the nation’s most distinguished people in knowledge and deeds, among the Companions and Followers, and those who followed them from the people of the best and best centuries, followed him. This is what Muslims have done, both past and present, in presenting those who lead them in their prayers, and to this day people .

On the authority of Abu Masoud Al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him: He said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said: “The people who are most familiar with the Book of God will lead the people in prayer, if they are the same in reading; So I teach them the Sunnah, and if they are all alike in the Sunnah; So the earliest of them to migrate, even if they were the same in migration; So he introduced them to peace – that is, Islam – and no man believes in another man in his authority, nor does he sit in his house on his honor except with his permission.” Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh”.

Rather, the Sharia provided for the best and most knowledgeable of them to lead the worshipers: to take care of the provisions and conditions of prayer. The imam is the guarantor of their prayers, so if he is correct, then it is his fault and theirs, and if he makes a mistake, then it is his fault and not their fault. Therefore, the imams deserved the Prophet’s prayers, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, for guidance. Because of the greatness in which God has placed them in the matter of prayer.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said: “The imam is a guarantor, and the muezzin is trustworthy. O God, guide the imams and forgive the muezzins.” Narrated by Ahmad in “Al-Musnad,” Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi in “Al-Sunan,” and Ibn Khuzaym In “Sahih”, and Al-Tabarani in “Al-Awsat”.

On the authority of Uqbah bin Aamer al-Juhani, may God be pleased with him, that he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, say: “Whoever leads the people, meets the time and completes the prayer, it is for him and for them, and whoever detracts from that, it is on him and not on them.” It was included by Ahmad in “Al-Musnad”, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah and Al-Bayhaqi in “Al-Sunan”, Ibn Hibban in “Al-Sahih”, and Al-Hakim in “Al-Mustadrak” and he authenticated it.
