Drivers tear activists in wheelchairs from the street

The “Last Generation” blocked several nodes in Regensburg on Monday. Two drivers became violent.

The day before, the activists had already occupied several intersections in the Bavarian city. The actions are intended to be a foretaste of Munich: the “last generation” wants to “make the state capital a protest stronghold for weeks”. Here you can read more about it.

There were also clashes during the blockades in Regensburg. The police said they took five people into custody because of the protests.

During a “Last Generation” blockade in Regensburg, two drivers got out and pulled an activist in a wheelchair off the road.
The men had apparently not been able to release the brakes on the wheelchair.
Then they attacked a member of the group who was filming the incident.
The two men expressed their displeasure with the action:

According to “Last Generation”, the activist was later taken into police custody. Nonetheless, he intends to continue participating in activities in the future.

A video shared by the “Last Generation” on Platform X (formerly Twitter) shows two men attacking an activist in a wheelchair. It is not known whether the officials also took action against them. You can see the scenes here or in the video above.
