Dwight Eubanks,‍ the “Real Housewives ⁣of Atlanta” star⁢ and celebrity hairstylist, recently shared that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.Eubanks, 64, is now partnering with ZERO prostate Cancer to⁤ raise awareness, particularly among Black men,‍ who face a⁣ disproportionately ‍higher risk of the disease.

Eubanks said the diagnosis was unexpected, especially since he had no symptoms. He learned of his condition ⁤after a⁢ health fair blood test revealed elevated PSA levels. Despite regular checkups, prostate cancer screenings were never discussed with his doctors.

According to the american⁤ Cancer‍ Society, one in six Black men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, compared to one in eight men overall.Black men are also 70% more likely to be diagnosed and twice as⁣ likely to die from⁢ the disease.
