East Bengal and Jamshedpur drew level in a battle of equals

Panaji: The East Bengal-Jamshedpur match of the Indian Super League ended in a draw. Both teams scored one goal each and drew.

Peter Hartley scored for Jamshedpur while Nerius Valskis’ own goal helped East Bengal. With this draw, East Bengal are third in the points table and Jamshedpur are fourth.

Jamshedpur dominated throughout the match. However, East Bengal shocked Jamshedpur by scoring the first goal of the match. In the 18th minute, Jamshedpur striker Nerius Valskis accidentally scored an own goal to give East Bengal the lead.

But with seconds left in the first half, Jamshedpur equalized. Captain Peter Hartley netted for Jamshedpur. The goal came from a Valskis pass. Valskis made amends with this pass for conceding an own goal.

In the second half, both teams struggled for the winning goal but it did not happen. Sourav Das of East Bengal and Narender Gehlot of Jamshedpur were shown yellow cards in the second half.
